The new year brought Elon University lots of attention from reporters who interviewed faculty experts on numerous current events, and featured student and alumni achievements in a variety of print, television, radio and online news outlets.

1/2/13: Baltimore Sun: “Ray Lewis’ future could include speaking engagements, endorsements” mentions the star football linebacker’s visit to Elon University in 2011 and the motivational speech he gave members of the Phoenix squad.

1/9/13: WJLA ABC 7: “ScholarCHIPS helps students with incarcerated parents” reports out of Washington, D.C., on Elon sophomore Yasmine Arrington’s nonprofit scholarship program to assist college students with one or both parents in jail.
