Peter Felten presents at the University of Durham

Peter Felten recently presented two invited workshops on engaged learning at the University of Durham in England.

Peter Felten, Assistant Provost and Director of CATL and the Center for Engaged Learning, presented two invited workshops on engaged learning at the University of Durham in England. These workshops were part of a required program for all new faculty that aims to have teaching at Durham build on the latest research about learning and pedagogy. Other workshop leaders on January 8 and 10 included Noel Entwistle (University of Edinburgh) on “understanding student understanding” and Ray Land (Durham) on “threshold concepts and troublesome knowledge.”

While at Durham, Felten also served as a panelist on “21st century teaching and learning” during a Blackboard Users Conference for UK academic technologists.
