Microsoft Office certification testing is now available at Elon University

Elon University is now officially setup as a Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Certification testing facility.

By registering to take a Microsoft Certification exam you have joined a global community of distinguished achievers. Microsoft Certification credentials tell the world you have demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft technologies and business tools. The certification also helps advance your career prospects by giving you a competitive edge, increasing your own personal sense of accomplishment, establishing yourself as a leader in your field, and demonstrating your skill sets in a competitive job market. Once you pass the exam, we encourage you to include your Microsoft Office Specialist credential on your résumé.

Additional information about types of certification exams can be found here.

The cost to take an exam is $96 (single exam) or $115 to take an exam with the option to retake it if you do not pass the first time.

There are course preparation materials available to increase your skills prior to taking the exam in the Elon Bookstore.

Maureen Allen, instructor in computing sciences, is the registered proctor for Elon University. If you are interested in taking the certification exam, please contact her at mnallen@elon.edu or AllenMaureen@cs.com.

Certification is open to anyone who may be interested in becoming Microsoft certified. This includes faculty, staff and students with an Elon login or enrolled in coursework.
