Tom Mould, associate professor of sociology and anthropology; Ethan Moore, coordinator of the University Art Collection; and Erin Mellett, senior anthropology major and Elon College Fellow, were awarded a mini grant of $1,200 from the North Carolina Humanities Council for the “Creating a Permanent Museum Exhibit about the Occaneechi Band of the Saponi Nation.”
The exhibit is part of Mellett’s Fellows project focusing on cultural tourism among the Occaneechi.
