The Elon World Percussion Ensemble has a few openings left for the spring 2013 ensemble.
The group plays rhythms from around the globe with specific emphasis on Africa, Cuba and South America. You will learn hand drum techniques that are applicable to many cultures, and you will learn how to hear the language of the drum. Drums are provided and no prior experience is required. This semester’s ensemble will perform for the Presidents Gala and the the Phoenix Pal International Fair.
The course meets in the Center for the Arts Thursdays from 5:30 p.m. to 7:10 p.m. Register for Mus106G to join.
