Paula Patch and Greg Hlavaty present at N.C. Symposium on Teaching Writing

Paula Patch and Greg Hlavaty, lecturers in English, presented at the fifth annual North Carolina Symposium on Teaching Writing at North Carolina State University Feb. 15-16.

Their presentation, “Building Community through Shared Goals: The Role of Faculty in Creating Meaningful Program Assessment,” described their efforts to shape how ENG 100:Supplemental Writing Workshop is assessed at Elon and encouraged attendees to consider how they, as writing faculty, might play a larger role in program assessment.

The North Carolina Symposium on Teaching Writing is a conference devoted to enriching the regional conversation on the practices, theory, and changing realities of teaching composition.
