Chad Awtrey and Christopher Shill '14 publish research article

Assistant professor of mathematics Chad Awtrey and mathematics and physics double major Christopher Shill '14 have published a research article on the intersection of p-adic numbers and Galois theory.

Chris Shill '14 presenting at the University of North Carolina in Greensboro.
This paper marks the first fruits of Awtrey’s and Shill’s collaboration, and it was supported in part by an Elon FR&D Summer Research Fellowship (for Awtrey) and a Rawls Scholarship (for Shill). Shill also presented this research at four different venues during the 2012 calendar year.
