Lucinda Austin publishes articles in Encyclopedia of Health Communication

Contributions by the Elon assistant professor of communications are  part of a 600-article volume.

Austin’s articles cover “Health Communication: Unintended Effects,” “Emergency Preparedness and Response” and “Public Relations: Segmentation.”

With nearly 600 original articles, the Encyclopedia of Health Communication, edited by Teresa Thompson, is the first reference book to comprehensively cover the range of health communication theory, research and practical application.
