Brief Biography

Bojan Savic joined Elon University in August 2013 from Virginia Tech's National Capital Region campus in Alexandria, VA. His research lies at the intersection of Critical Security Studies, International Development, and Critical Geopolitics, and focuses on NATO's Provincial Reconstruction Teams (PRTs) in Afghanistan as security apparatuses. He studies the interweaving of development and security roles of consecutive US and Italian-led PRTs in Afghanistan's Herat Province, investigating the subjects of security and development, as well what instruments the United States and NATO use in their local governance practices. 

At Elon, Bojan teaches International Relations and Comparative Politics courses.
