2011 Elon Innovation Challenge sponsored by SEED

The Elon Innovation Challenge is a fast-paced competition that challenges student teams to use their creativity to add value using an everyday item. Teams need to be creative in interpreting value because it can range to anything from monetary value to entertainment value. The teams must show their results through a short video.

All North Carolina college students, in any major, are eligible to participate. Teams can be made up of up to 10 students.

The mystery item will be revealed on November 10th; the videos must be submitted by November 14th; and the winners will be announced on November 16th.

Awards will be made to the top three teams’ charities of choice. First prize is $400, second prize is $200 and third prize is $100.

The competition is sponsored by the Student Entrepreneurial Enterprise Development (SEED) and is headed by Kavi Shelar ’14 and Gary Palin, executive director of the Doherty Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership.
