How can I find out what my new co-payments are?

Information about co-payments, as well as other in-network benefits cost, can be found on your ID cards, which have already been mailed to you. If you did not receive your cards, please contact the Office of Human Resources at ext. 5560.

How can I get additional ID cards?

You can order additional cards for you or your dependents by calling the number on the back of your card or by going to www.mybcbsnc.com. You will have to register for Member Services using your subscriber ID, which is on the front of your card, and your birth date. After you login, click on “Request a New ID Card,” located under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the page. You will also be able to access benefits, claims and wellness information.

How can I check if my prescriptions are covered under my new plan?

You can download BCBSNC’s prescription guide by clicking on the link to the left or sign into the Member Services at www.mybcbsnc.com, where you will also be able to find information about doctors, facilities and prescriptions covered under your plan.

NOTE: When looking for a doctor or medical provider at www.mybcbsnc.com, be sure to pick ‘Blue Options (Group PPO Plan)’ on the drop down menu.

Can I order my prescriptions via mail?

Yes. BCBSNC offers prescription drug benefit through Medco, Inc. which offers a mail order pharmacy, Medco By Mail. Mail-order pharmacy is part of your benefit so there’s no additional charge and standard shipping is always free. One of the advantages of using this service for long-term medications is that you pay for a 60-day supply but receive the equivalent of a 90-day supply. To get started, just click on the order form link to the left, fill it out and follow the instructions. You also need to make sure your doctor has prescribed the maximum days’ supply allowed by your plan, plus refills for up to 1 year.
