The Scoop blog reaches hundreds of journalists and is promoted on Facebook and Twitter.

Hatcher teaches a “Religion and Media” class at Elon and was invited by Winston to write for the blog. He will write three articles between February and June 2012. The first entry, “Foot Soldiers in the Culture Wars?” can be found at http://uscmediareligion.org/theScoop/488/Foot-Soldiers-in-Culture-Wars?

A statement on the website for the Knight Chair in Media and Religion reads, “Our goal is to serve as a resource for journalists, including journalism educators and students seeking new models for covering politics, science, sex and gender among other key issues for the 21st century.”
