Elon Law professors Faith Rivers James and Roland Smith, and Founding Dean and Professor of Law Emeritus Leary Davis, presented at Santa Clara University School of Law’s fifth Leadership Education Roundtable.
Davis presented a paper titled, “Understanding Change in Legal Education and the Legal Profession.” His presentation was made as part of a panel titled, “Perspectives on Scholarship & Pedagogy.” Others presenting on the panel included Vic Massaglia, Career Counselor & Adjunct Associate Professor, University of Minnesota Law; Garry Jenkins, Professor & Co-Director Law & Leadership, Ohio State Moritz Law; and, Neil Hamilton, Director, Holloran Center, University of St. Thomas School of Law.
Rivers James, professor of law and director of leadership programs at Elon Law, presented on a panel titled, “Building Structures for Leadership Education.” Presenters on this panel included: Maura DeMouy, Initiative Coordinator of the Leadership, Ethics and Democracy program (LEAD) at University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law and Louis Bilionis, Dean, University of Cincinnati College of Law.
Smith, professor of leadership at Elon Law and senior faculty member at the Center for Creative Leadership, delivered a presentation titled, “Leadership in Legal Education: Moving Forward Through Networked Collaboration.”
