Mark Brewin will read from his new book of poetry on May Day.
Mark Brewin, Elon alum, will soon be returning to campus to accept his Distinguished Alumnus Award from the College of Arts and Sciences and to read from his newly published book of poetry, Scrap Iron.
Please help us celebrate the arrival of Mark’s book on May Day, Wednesday, May 1, in Johnston Hall at 7:30 p.m. There will be cake and delicious poetry. Mark’s poems are alive, wild, passionate, exuberant, sort of like Mark Jay Brewin himself.
Mark (’08) is a former art (photography) and English (creative writing) double major who received his MFA in Creative Writing from Southern Illinois University–Carbondale. His book won the 2012 Agha Shahid Ali Prize and is published by the University of Utah Press.
