The Sales Education Foundation, a nonprofit established to promote the profession of sales through colleges and universities with verified sales education curricula, highlighted Elon University as one of the best locations for hiring sales professionals in its list of “Top University Sales Programs for 2013.”

Elon’s sales program, anchored by the Chandler Family Professional Sales Center, was selected based on its strong sales curriculum, university recognition and experiential learning component. The center focuses on promoting professional selling, developing students for sales careers, and conducting research that advances the field of sales and sales management.

“We are extremely proud of the recognition from the Sales Education Foundation,” said Assistant Professor Michael Rodriguez, director of the Chandler Family Center. “Elon’s sales program continues to grow in student interest and attract great sales organizations.”

Sally Stevens, executive director of the Sales Education Foundation, said that increased focus on sales and services causes companies to pay more attention to sales program graduates. “With a track record for producing top sales talent, it’s no wonder that sales students have a job placement rate at graduation of 90 percent in their field, compared to approximately 45 percent in other graduate fields,” she said.

This is Elon’s third year in a row appearing on SEF’s list of top university sales programs.

The Chandler Family Center was established in 2008 by an endowment gift from Elon Trustee Thomas E. Chandler, owner of Chandler Concrete Company, and his family. It is a full member of the University Sales Center Alliance. The Love School of Business is accredited by AACSB International-The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.
