The program at the Barnes & Noble on Williamson Avenue brought cheer on an unseasonable chilly and overcast day.
A “celebration of spring” event took place May 4 at the Barnes & Noble at Elon University in collaboration with students from Marna Winter’s spring semester “Principles of Learning and Teaching Language Art and Social Studies Methods” course in the School of Education.
Faculty, staff and families from the community listened to children’s literature about spring, and they spent time creating spring crafts and face-painting.
More than two dozen children from the community attended the celebration.
