Shawn Tucker, associate professor of fine arts, edited the special issue of Interdisciplinary Humanities, which is the flagship scholarly journal in his discipline.
The journal, Interdisciplinary Humanities, dealt with one of Shawn Tucker’s key areas of scholarly interest: pride and humility. Tucker spent almost two years on the project, working with scholars from a very wide range of discplines whose work contributes to an understanding of pride and humility. This issue also feature an interview with Juan Obando, assistant professor of art at Elon. In fact, Obando’s art is the issue’s cover art.
Tucker’s interest in pride and humility goes back to a National Endowment for the Humanities grant he received to teach an Elon course on Pride, Humility and the Good Life.
