Carrie Morris '96 selected as the 2013-14 Southeast Region Teacher of the Year

Carrie Morris, a 1996 elementray education graduate of the School of Education who teaches fifth grade at Swansboro Middle School, was selected as the 2013-14 Southeast Region Teacher of the Year.

Morris, the 2012-13 Onslow County Schools Teacher of the Year, was among eight regional teachers who competed for 2013-14 North Carolina Teacher of the Year. Morris received a master’s degree in elementary education in 2006 from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. She taught school in Alamance County before moving to Swansboro to teach in 1997.
