Charlotte Motor Speedway offers a spectacular holiday light show, movie nights and other fun between Nov. 22 and Dec. 30.
More than 3 million lights in 800 displays as well as an infield Christmas Village are part of this year’s Speedway Christmas at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Elon University faculty and staff can experience it all at a reduced price by presenting a discount coupon available on the Human Resources discount page under miscellaneous.
Speedway Christmas kicks off Friday, Nov. 22 with the Egg Nog Jog, a 5K run through the elaborate light displays. Opening night for the drive-through course is Saturday, Nov. 23.
The Speedway Christmas Village is opened Thursday through Sunday nights. It features a Bethlehem Village and has live actors and animals, vendor displays and photos with Santa. In addition, holiday movies will be played on the world’s largest HDTV every Friday and Saturday night during the show.
The light show is open daily from 6 to 10 p.m. Nov. 23 to Dec. 30, except for Christmas Day. Admission into Speedway Christmas is $20 per car when the Christmas Village is open and $15 on nights the Village is closed. Group rates for vans and buses are available.
