Raul G. Barcenes, visiting director of bands at Elon University, led music clinics and conducted the Desert Winds in Las Vegas.
Dr. Raul G. Barcenes, visiting director of bands at Elon University, was invited to guest conduct the Desert Winds Wind Orchestra, a contemporary wind ensemble, on their Holiday Concert held Dec. 14, 2013. His invitation included working with the ensemble, comprised of semi-professional personnel and teachers in the Las Vegas area. As a nationally respected music educator, he also led a music clinic for the bands of Roy Martin Middle School in Las Vegas, an international IB school. This clinic involved improvement of music fundamentals for the student as well as a director consultation.
