Therapeutic Chair Massage for Students

The office of Student Health and Wellness, in partnership with Alamance Regional Medical Center, is pioffering  a therapeutic chair massage program for students. All massage therapists are fully licensed and employees of Alamance Regional Medical Center.  An increasing number of research studies show massage reduces heart rate, lowers blood pressure, increases blood circulation and lymph flow, relaxes muscles, improves range of motion, and increases endorphins (enhancing medical treatment). Although therapeutic massage does not increase muscle strength, it can stimulate weak, inactive muscles and, thus, partially compensate for the lack of exercise and inactivity resulting from illness or injury. It also can hasten and lead to a more complete recovery from exercise or injury.

$22 for 30 minutes, payable by cash, check or we can bill your student account.

By appointment: Thursdays 2:30-3:00  or 3:00-3:30 in the Ellington Center for Health and Wellness

To schedule a chair massage, please call the Office of Student Health and Wellness at (336) 278-7200 when university offices are open.
