Jeff Carpenter presents on technology & education at three conferences

Jeff Carpenter, assistant professor of education, gave three recent presentations on the use of technology to support teacher and student learning.

On Feb. 28, Carpenter joined colleague Daniel Krutka of Texas Women’s University to give a presentation titled “How and Why Socials Studies Educators Use Twitter” at the 2014 International Society for the Social Studies Annual Conference in Orlando. This presentation was based on research that Carpenter and Krutka have conducted together.

On March 4, Carpenter presented “Technology Tools that Support the Writing Process” at the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction’s Collaborative Conference on Student Achievement in Greensboro, N.C.

On March 7, Carpenter and colleague Jayme Linton of Lenoir Rhyne University gave a presentation titled “Take Collaboration to the Next Level with Google+” at the 2014 North Carolina Technology in Education Society Conference in Raleigh, N.C.
