Angela Ansah and colleagues publish multicultural education article

Angela Owusu-Ansah, School of Education associate dean and associate professor, Melissa Joy Cutrera, Samford University alumna, and Amanda Strong Hilsmier, associate professor of special education at Samford University recently published "Current Practices in Multicultural Education: Curriculum Refor in the Elementary Classroom."  

Their article appearing in The Educational Collaborative, Vol. 4, No. 2, (2014) 1-15, explores theories and practices related to learning in a constantly changing and increasingly diverse classroom. Their research attempts to add to the dialogue on multicultural education by investigating current teacher practices for incorporating multicultural educational experiences into the classroom environment. They advocate for curriculum reform that reflects the needs of learners from a wide variety of backgrounds.
