Elon’s Club Equestrian team ended their season strong this past weekend at St. Andrews University.
Though they had several opponents (UNC, Longwood, NC State, and Averett), many players stepped up to end the season with success. Helen Wright finished fifth in her division and third in the dressage seat equitation class. Lauren Garretson also placed, finishing fourth in the dressage seat equitation class. To top it all off, Cara Goode won her division and was awarded reserve high point champion for the year, giving her the potential opportunity to go to nationals. Not only did the team finish strong individually, but as a team they finished fourth as a whole. With all three players placing and one awarded high point champion of the year, the equestrian team wrapped up the end of the year on a great note.
