Interactive Media program featured on higher education podcast

The Elon graduate program and a Communications associate professor discussed the unique 10-month master's experience.

“For Immediate Release in Higher Education,” a podcast focusing on communications in and for colleges and universities, highlighted Elon University’s unique Master of Arts in Interactive Media this week.

Host Kevin Anselmo interviewed School of Communications associate professor Amanda Sturgill about the changes to mass communication resulting from technology shifts and about how the iMedia program teaches students to adapt to these changes.

“The short, intense nature of the iMedia program gets students up to speed on interactive communication technologies in the 10 months,” Sturgill said. “But even more importantly, the students learn the big picture of how technology, culture and strategy work together, while they get tools to keep themselves up-to-date for the rest of their careers.”
