Elon University trustees elect new board secretary and youth trustee

[/caption]Kebbler M. Williams, a 1998 Elon graduate and member of the board of trustees since 2008, has been elected board secretary. She succeeds longtime secretary Barbara Bass ’61, who was elected to the position of life trustee last March.

Williams is an education planning and development consultant for the Office of Charter Schools within the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, working with charter schools to ensure legal compliance, board performance, financial integrity and academic excellence. She is also pursuing a doctoral degree in educational leadership at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and is the recipient of the Patrick W. and Janet R. Carlton Award for Dissertation Research in Educational Leadership. Williams began her career as a teacher and later served as an assistant principal, a principal and a central office administrator in North Carolina public schools. She earned her Elon degree in elementary education and a master’s degree in School Administration from North Carolina State University. Williams serves as a member of the advisory board for the Elon University School of Education and previously served as a member of Elon’s National Alumni Executive Board. In 2010, Williams was honored as Elon’s Distinguished Alumna of the Year. Williams has also served as vice-chair of the board of trustees academic affairs committee, a member of the alumni affairs committee and as a new trustee mentor.

[/caption]​Trustees also elected Richmond (Ricky) Rosati, a member of the Class of 2014, to a two-year term as a youth trustee. Rosati is a native of Hermitage, Penn., and a double major in marketing and entrepreneurship with a concentration in professional sales. He is a member of Omicron Delta Kappa honor society and served in several leadership positions with the Student Government Association. He was a member of Elon’s Mock Trial Team, the Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity, and has participated with the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business Ethics Competition Team and the Chandler Sales Center Sales Team. He has studied abroad in Italy, participated in a service-learning trip to South Africa, and completed business internships with the Werner Ladder Company and with Lender Processing Services. Following graduation, Rosati will join the Business Technology Analyst Program at Deloitte LLP in Washington, D.C.
