Perspectives on World Languages and Cultures

Poster topics addressing any time period are welcome, and interdisciplinary works with a strong focus on language and the cultures they represent are of interest. We invite you to consider visual representations and include media in addition to text. Analyses of multiple types of texts are encouraged: literary, cinematic, journalistic, etc.
Languages
Poster presenters may present in their target language or English.
Poster Submission Procedure
Students enrolled in a course in the Department of World Languages and Cultures at Elon are eligible to submit a poster abstract. All abstracts must include the words “Poster Session” at the top, as well as the title, name of the author, language/culture, and email contact information. For consideration, please submit an abstract of no more than 300 words in English or the target language by January 24th to the following address: UCLC@elon.edu
Registration Fee
The $20.00 fee covers coffee, pastry, lunch, and an afternoon social during the conference. The registration payment is required when registering online. All participants are responsible for their travel and accommodation arrangements.
