This 45-minute session will be held via the Zoom platform. Attendees will be able to ask questions using the built-in chat feature. The session will cover admissions requirements, overview of the MSBA program, and information regarding financial aid.

If you have Microsoft Excel, you have access to a powerful and versatile data transformation tool that can bring sophisticated automation to your work. Microsoft Power Query is a data transformation and preparation tool built in to Microsoft Excel, allowing you to access data from multiple data sources and transform that data using a graphical interface that is accessible to everyday Excel users with no code skills required. MBA Alumna Katharine Frazier will show how Power Query can automate an individual analysis task or to streamline a collaborative project.


For you in 22: Prescribing Practical Business Decisions Based on Analytics

The science of decision making for business (also called prescriptive analytics) has led to many successful industry applications in operations and supply chain domains. In this 22-minute webinar, we will focus instead on approaches to address the challenges that arise from applying decision science to more strategic, high-impact business decisions. About the presenter: Manoj Chari teaches business analytics at Elon and also serves as the director of the Center for Organizational Analytics. Prior to joining Elon, he spent nearly two decades in the industry, primarily at SAS Institute where he was senior director in the Analytics R&D Division. In this role, he led a department which developed software for mathematical decision science, as well as provided consulting services to help SAS customers worldwide apply these methods to their business. Chari also worked at Otis Elevators where he led a data science team developing predictive maintenance models for elevator health. In 2020, he was elected a Fellow of the Institute of Operations Research and Management Sciences (INFORMS) for outstanding leadership and career contributions to the practice of analytics and management sciences. He has a Ph.D. in operations research from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

These one-on-one visits can be held on campus or virtually and scheduled at your convenience. You will meet a member of the Graduate Admissions staff and discuss program details.
