First-year Students – Fall Admission

Students will be sent access to a course request website in early May. The First Year Course Request website allows students to peruse academic options at Elon and create a list of preferred courses for fall semester only. Advisors in the Advising Center will use students’ course preference lists to create their fall schedules. The first term at Elon is the only time advisors create student schedules. In subsequent semesters, students will have direct access to online scheduling after meeting with their assigned advisor.

All first-year students will be enrolled in an academic advising seminar called Elon 101. This class covers a broad range of topics designed to ease the transition from high school to college. Students will consult with their Elon 101 instructor/first-year advisor to select coursework for the next terms: winter and spring.
