Research/Creative Interests
I am interested in questions around belonging, mattering, and community in educational spaces. I explore aspects of social justice, critical pedagogy, and democratic skill development through critical communities and intentional learning environments. I am excited about nontraditional research approaches and ways in which researchers can authentically engage individuals and communities in an action-oriented approach.
What types of “data” do you commonly use?
I am primarily a qualitative researcher and generally utilize methods like observations, critical discourse analyses, interviews, and participatory storytelling.
What types of collaborations are you open to?
I am open to any and all collaborations.
