Research/Creative Interests

I’m interested in identifying which pedagogy approaches are best for improving students’ learning and I participate in multi-institutional studies in an effort to uncover answers. I’m also very interest in international trade and have multiple papers looking at the relationship between trade, economic growth, and economic sanctions.

What types of “data” do you commonly use?

Most of my work uses publicly available data but I sometimes use confidential survey data.

What types of collaborations are you open to?

Open to working with faculty or advanced undergraduates with overlapping interests.

What agencies, organizations, or foundations do you have experience with to apply for grants?

  • NSF

Student Qualifications

  • Prefer Economics students, but any major with an interest in economics topics is welcome
  • Anyone who has done well in Business Statistics, with a preference for Econometrics as well
