Elon Alumni Travel: Holocaust Journey

Do you wish you could study abroad again? Did you miss your chance and are ready to travel and learn?
Join fellow Elon alumni and friends on one of Elon’s most popular student study abroad experiences – but designed for you! Accompanied by Professor Dr. Rich Landesberg, this singular 11-day small group journey (no more than 30) through Prague, Krakow and Warsaw will immerse you in the history of the Holocaust and World War II (just in time for the 80th anniversary of D-Day celebrations) plus give you the opportunity to enjoy modern day Poland and Czech Republic. And travel confidently with our student experiences company, Direct Travel, which will provide an on-site Tour Manager throughout the journey.

ITINERARY
DAY 1: Prague
Check in at Hotel Rott
(If you would like to arrive a day early, you can Add-on an additional night at Hotel Rott.)

Sites: Cathedral of St. Cyril and Methodius, Old Town Square, astronomical clock, Franz Kafka Square, Charles Bridge, Lesser Town area.

Guided tour of Terezin + Ghetto Museum
Guided tour of Terezin monuments: Small Fortress, Ghetto Museum & Magdeburg Barracks, Crematorium.

DAY 3: Prague

Guided walking tour of the former Jewish Ghetto of Prague including the Old-New Synagogue, Maisel Synagogue, Klaus Synagogue and Jewish Cemetery.
