On Tuesday, May 21, members of Elon’s Class of 2024 will gather Under the Oaks for Numen Lumen: Senior Baccalaureate Reflections designed to bring together Elon traditions in a celebration of community, light and achievement. The program will include reflections from graduating seniors, multifaith blessings, and a special candle lighting ceremony, involving alumni, symbolic of Elon’s motto, Numen Lumen. Additionally, the members of class will receive their oak saplings from alumni at the end of this special event.

We are looking for local alumni to participate in this important tradition during Numen Lumen: Senior Baccalaureate on Tuesday, May 21, from 6:45 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Volunteer duties include greeting students at the event, handing out programs, lighting candles and handing out saplings to the senior class.
