Campus Safety and Police is committed to fostering a safe environment for all who live, study, and work here. Though police and security officers patrol the campus 24/7 all year, no security force can always have an officer present before a crime occurs. All members of this university community must share the burden of keeping our community and those who live and work here safe.

Safety Services & Resources

Security Escorts

The Office of Campus Safety and Police will provide a Security Escort Service from 7:00 p.m.- 7:00 a.m. to and from on campus locations. Students, faculty, or staff on campus can call (336) 278-5555.

Event Security

To provide for the health and safety of our community, the University requires those organizations hosting on-campus events that include alcohol (or late night alcohol-free parties) to work with Campus Safety and Police to hire off-duty police officers (1 per 100 guests) for the duration of the event.

LiveSafe App

Campus Safety and Police encourage all members of the Elon community to download the LiveSafe app. LiveSafe gives users two-way communication direct to Campus Safety & Police. Students and employees can share information – anonymously, if they choose to – through text, photo or video directly from their smart phones. Additionally, app users can receive important broadcast notifications sent by the Elon University Police Department. With a built-in SafeWalk feature, students also will be able to invite others to “virtually escort” them by monitoring their location on a map.
