The Purchasing department facilitates an exception basis renewal process annually for vendor registration to ensure accuracy.
Elon University has created a central Amazon Business account to simplify the purchasing process while taking advantage of the wide selection and competitive prices of the Amazon marketplace. P-Card holders can activate their Amazon Business account using an @elon.edu email address to take advantage of Business Pricing and quantity discounts, as well as free standard shipping on eligible orders.
The Elon University Amazon Business Account must be used for business purposes only. No personal purchases may be made from using the Elon University Amazon Business Account.

Elon has an established contract with Forms & Supply, Inc. (FSI) for general office supplies, with substantial discounts on certain items through the North Carolina state contract. FSI provides next-day desktop delivery (Monday – Thursday) on over 96% of their in-stock orders. Departments may order up to $1,000 directly with FSI online.

- Elon employees may pay for personal purchases from FSI using the University’s preferred pricing.

Printers and Copiers
Elon University incorporates a campus-wide copier program that utilizes large scale contracting to provide copiers and supplies at minimal cost. The meter readings for the Canon Multi-function Devices will be collected electronically by the IT Department. There is no cost to your department for paper or toner. There is a charge for staples.
Laser printer cartridges
Laser printer cartridges can be purchased in one of two ways:
- Re-manufactured cartridges can be obtained by submitting a purchase request to Purchasing. Call Purchasing (336) 278-5580 for pricing and availability.
- New and re-manufactured cartridges can be ordered through Office Depot.
Empty cartridges that were obtained through Purchasing should be returned to Purchasing for recycling. Empty cartridges that were obtained through Office Depot should be returned to Office Depot.
Purchasing will call for service on Fax Machines. Please have the ID#, Model#, serial# and nature of the problem.
