Computer Purchasing & Discounts

Although students aren’t required to bring a computer to campus, we’ve found that most students are glad that they do. Elon students can receive computer discounts through Dell and Apple, while faculty and staff can take advantage of Dell discounts for personal computer purchases.

Before you buy your own software, be sure to check out the many applications available to you through our software licenses and vendor discounts. Students, faculty, and staff may download free and discounted software from our partners, as well as use software in the cloud through our VirtualApps service. Elon’s computer labs (including computers in Belk Library) also have commonly used software for student, faculty, and staff use.

Kivuto’s OnTheHub

Students can download a free copy of Microsoft Office and receive discounted pricing on other products such as Microsoft Project and Adobe Creative Cloud. Kivuto’s OnTheHub can also be used by faculty and staff for personal purchases.

Microsoft Products (Microsoft Office 365)

Microsoft 365 isn’t just for email and calendars, it also includes Office Online products such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and OneNote. What’s more is that faculty and staff can download up to 5 copies of Microsoft Office from their Microsoft 365 account. Our license with Microsoft 365 also gives faculty and staff heavy discounts on all Microsoft products. If you don’t see the product you need, contact the Technology Service Desk.
