Why did you join BSU?

I joined BSU because I know how hard it can be for Black students to be a part of a majority-white space here at Elon and I wanted to help create a community for Black students to have. I knew being a part of the Black Student Union I could really be there for Black students, uplift their voices & make a supportive and welcoming environment for them.

Why did you join BSU?

I joined BSU because college is already a difficult 4-year process to maneuver. During my time at Elon, I have always used my voice and understood the power of words. I have continued to be passionate and work with BSU to optimize the voices and strive for Black excellence among our community at Elon.

Why did you join BSU?

When I decided to come to Elon, I would look up Black organizations on campus, and I saw we had a Black Student Union and instantly wanted to be a part of it. I wanted to be a part of something special that has the best interest of Black students. With it being a small group of us, hosting events and creating safe spaces for us to come together is very important to me.

Why did you join BSU?

I joined BSU because the Black Student Union is an organization that is about Black Excellence! The Black population must be celebrated throughout their academic career while attending Elon University. BSU is the organization that sets the standard in recognizing Black students. I decided to uphold leadership to acknowledge the Black community and set a spotlight on their accomplishments.
