The past year has seen increased violence and hate-filled rhetoric targeting people who are Asian, Asian American or Pacific Islander, including a mass shooting in Atlanta that killed six Asian women and two others. The attacks also have sparked crucial dialogue, calls for change, and opportunities for learning and improvement in how media reflect, connect with, and represent AAPI people in their organizations and in their coverage.

How can North Carolina media advance better journalism and information, more inclusive practices, and support for AAPI journalists?
