New Student & Transition Programs, in partnership with the Office of Parent Engagement, recognize the vital role that family members play in their student’s successful transition to university life. It is important for parents and families to gain knowledge and develop skills that will reinforce a sense of family support in their student’s education. To achieve this, you are encouraged to attend our virtual family orientation program in August. Students may experience transition throughout their years at Elon. The resources listed below will help enhance families knowledge and skills to help coach their student through their collegiate journey.

New Student Orientation for Families
New Student & Transition Program is excited to welcome families to Elon University! Our office would like to acknowledge the important role families will play in their student’s successful transition to Elon. Transitions are always challenging, whether students are coming to Elon from high school, another college, or the workplace; here at Elon, NSTP strives to provide students and families with the support they need to make a smooth transition.
The Family Orientation program is separate from New Student Orientation as families and students have different needs and questions about the college transition. For Fall 2020 we will not be hosting an in-person Family Orientation experience. More information will be released in July about our virtual orientation experience designed for parents and families or new Elon students.
Elon welcomes all family members and friends to return to campus to visit with their students and participate in the many scheduled events during this special weekend in the fall. *Modified for fall 2020*
