Elon Dining
Happy Fall from all of us here at Elon Dining! We have so many fun events planned for the rest of this semester, including theme meals, teaching kitchens, pop-ups and more. Make sure to check out all of our events, plus look for upcoming meal plan promotions, on our website or on social media. Just search for “Elon Dining Services” on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

Mail Services
Students love getting mail and packages from family and friends. In order to ensure a timely and efficient process, please be sure items are addressed with the student’s first and last name and campus box number. We encourage students to use their home address for shipping items if the delivery date is close to when they will be leaving campus for Winter Break. Mail Services will not be responsible for forwarding packages if an item is not delivered or picked up prior to when they leave campus. Students studying abroad for Winter Term do not need to forward their mail. However, students studying abroad for the spring semester should visit a local post office prior to leaving to complete a change of address/forwarding form. Students graduating in December will have 30 days to update their mailing address with USPS after the end of the term.

Student Involvement
Student Involvement provides over 75 student-centered programs a semester, including concerts, comedians, late-night programs, trips to sporting events, movies and tailgates. The Student Union Board (SUB) is excited to announce this year’s Homecoming Concert featuring T-Pain. More information about the concert can be found on the SUB website.

Student Involvement staff also provides oversight and support to all recognized student organizations, including the chapters and governing councils within Elon’s fraternity and sorority community. Information about the spring recruitment process for our fraternities and sororities and important dates can be found on our website.

For a full listing of active student organizations and their upcoming events, please visit PhoenixCONNECT. Is your student still looking for ways to get involved at Elon? The CONNECTions Team, a group of student leaders located in Moseley Center, is here to assist students one-on-one in identifying meaningful involvement opportunities across campus.

Residence Life
Please be sure to check the Residence Life website for residence hall closing dates for breaks. This will allow your student to book their travel plans accordingly. If they need to stay late or return early for a break period, they must submit a request (found on the break housing webpage by clicking the "Self Service" link, which is accessible to students only). Each neighborhood has an office where students can ask any questions related to their room, roommate or any issues that arise. You can find contact information for all neighborhood offices online.

Center for Leadership
This Fake Break, the Center for Leadership will be partnering with LeaderShape to bring the LeaderShape Institute to Elon students (Jan. 25 - 30).

Fifty students will be selected to participate in this deep dive into leadership. This experience is free and open to any and all Elon students. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to connect with other students, develop a faculty/staff mentoring relationship and increase their leadership skills, confidence and motivation to lead.

If your student is interested in applying, encourage them to go to Applications are due by Friday, Nov. 22. If you or your student are interested in learning more about this experience, check out this recent article or contact the Center for Leadership at (336) 278-5323.

Break Shuttle Services
Shuttle service is provided to Greensboro’s Piedmont Triad International Airport (GSO-PTI) and the Raleigh/Durham International Airport (RDU) at designated break times throughout the year. Students should schedule shuttle trip departures at least two and a half hours prior to flight departures. For a list of available shuttles and closing dates for registering, please visit the Moseley Center website. For more information, please contact the Moseley Center Information Desk at (336) 278-7215 or

Health-Related Absences
As the weather becomes more “fall-like” in North Carolina, we begin to see an increase in seasonal allergies, sinus infections, colds, etc. Students who become ill and are unable to attend class should email their professors as soon as possible, typically before the missed class, in order to notify professors and begin a conversation about missed coursework. See more information about health-related absences here. If a student is hospitalized and unable to communicate on his or her own behalf, please contact
