Campus Safety and Cold Weather Preparedness
With the inclement weather this week, monitoring E-Net is the best way for parents and students to stay abreast of weather, weather related situations and the university’s response to these situations. The university and Elon Dining have plans and resources to shelter and feed students if the campus loses power. Check out the emergency procedures and encourage your student to sign up for the E-Alert System and Live Safe App.

Student Concerns
If you are concerned for a student’s health or well-being you may submit a student concerns report. This information may be used to help link a student with resources and/or respond if a student’s behavior is creating a situation that is concerning, disruptive or potentially unsafe for themselves or others. Please remember this reporting form is for non-emergency reporting only and responding staff members are not clinical counselors. If any person may be in danger, call 911 immediately. On Jan. 5, Elon University President Leo M. Lambert and President-elect Connie Ledoux Book issued a joint letter regarding student suicides to students, faculty, staff, parents and advisory boards and councils. Click here to read the full letter.

Elon Dining
Currently, the dining program boasts two full residential dining halls and ten retail locations that include local and national brands. The team works hard to make sure every student that passes through the doors has a fantastic dining experience. That means working with local vendors to add more locally sourced foods, providing additional variety to daily menus and preparing as many scratch-made meals as possible. Elon Dining also strives to offer special events to students, like themed meals, surprise pop-ups, local restaurant takeovers of dining halls and several food truck events each semester featuring local trucks.
