Elon phoenix families WINTER 2019

Spring semester at Elon University is always an exciting time on campus! From signature events such as Spring Convocation to campus traditions such as Elon Day, it seems that there is always something special happening.

Elon presents a broad offering of academic and special programs every semester. The cultural calendar provides a month-by-month overview of musical and theatrical performances, guest and faculty lectures, religious and ethnic observances, recitals, art exhibitions, special entertainment and more. Take a peek at what is on the cultural calendar for the spring semester!

On March 5, the worldwide Elon community will come together for the sixth annual Elon Day. Last year, our community contributed 5,370 gifts and $1,840,378 to support students, scholarships, athletics and faculty and staff. We held 46 events with 3,882 attendees on campus and around the world, and secured five new student scholarships. This year, we hope to work together to continue that success by meeting all of our challenges and making gifts that will impact Elon students for years to come.

Elon is preparing to hold its 129th Commencement ceremonies on Friday, May 24. The day will begin with an outdoor ceremony on Scott Plaza, which will include a processional of students, the student speaker, a Commencement address and the president’s charge to graduates. Following the outdoor ceremony will be two separate diploma-awarding ceremonies for the Class of 2019, both held in Schar Center. To learn more about the Commencement ceremonies, please visit the Commencement website.
