Brief Biography

B.A., Rowan University; M.A., Temple University; M.F.A., University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Faculty Director of Elon Sports Vision since it began in 2017. Since 1996, Negin has won five-time Emmy awards and worked as an editor, writer director and producer for various broadcast and cable outlets including NBC, ABC, FOX, ESPN, HBO and Comcast SportsNet, video coorsinator for the Philadelpha Phillies and as an associate producer and broadcast coordinator for two seasons with the Philadelphia 76ers. Lead Editor, Replay Operator and Assistant Producer for Charlotte Hornets Television Broadcasts on Fox Sports and then Bally Sports from 2019-2023. Has worked for NBC Sports Olympics coverage 8 times as both a digital media manager and editor: Beijing in 2008, Vancouver in 2010 and London in 2012, Sochi in 2014, Rio de Janeiro in 2016, Pyeongchang in 2018, Tokyo in 2021, and Paris in 2024..  In 2011, won an Outstanding Technical Team Studio Emmy for his work at the Vancouver Olympics. Former producer for Phoenix Vision, the stadium video board at Rhodes Stadium for home football games. Participated in a faculty exchange program with North Carolina A&T. Co-curator of "Visualizing Multiculturalism," an intercollegiate multimedia project that produces artifacts representing cultures of students. Founding member of “Dumpspace,” an artist-collective featuring works of new media, video art and installations. Former President of the Board of Directors for the Center for Visual Artists in Greensboro. Member of the University Film and Video Association. Co-Author of 2 editions of "Total Sports Media: Production, Performance and Career Development" a textbook on sportscasting. Army Reserve & National Guard 1993-1997.
