Alexis Moore

Alexis Moore is an Assistant Professor in the Elon Department of Physician Assistant (PA) Studies. She joined the faculty in September, 2012.  She served as a faculty member and Interim Chair and Director of the Physician Assistant Studies Program at SUNY Downstate Medical Center.

She holds an, MPH, from Columbia University in the City of New York, a BS in Physician Assistant Studies from SUNY Downstate Medical Center and a BA in Film from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York. She has over 10 years clinical experience as a PA in adolescent medicine, infectious disease and adult primary care. Her academic and research interests are Adolescent HIV, Behavioral Health and Sexual and Reproductive Health. Professional activities include providing sexual and reproductive health training in the Caribbean, mentorship for at risk young women, and international educational initiatives to make school accessible for displaced young adults. She brings to Elon a love for the underserved and a steadfast desire to share this perspective with students.
