Brief Biography

Dr. Barjinder Singh is an Associate Professor of Management in the Love School of Business at Elon University. Prior to joining Elon faculty, Dr. Singh was an Assistant Professor of Management at the University of Houston-System (Sugar Land campus), where he was also promoted to Associate Professor with tenure.

A Sikh by religion, Dr. Singh hails from the state of Punjab in the northern part of India. After finishing his MBA, Dr. Singh worked for India’s biggest chamber of commerce - The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) at their northern-region headquarters in Chandigarh (India) for three years. In 2006, Dr. Singh came to the US in pursuit of his PhD. Dr. Singh earned his PhD at Sheldon B. Lubar School of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2011.

Dr. Singh's teaching interests include Organizational Behavior (OB), Human Resource Management (HRM), and Business Ethics. Dr. Singh has taught several courses to both undergraduate and graduate classes. Dr. Singh's research reflects his commitment to pursuing the highest levels of excellence in areas of OBHRM and has been published in several leading academic journals including, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Vocational Behavior, Journal of International Management, International Journal of Human Resource Management, and Human Resource Management.

Dr. Singh has also presented his research at both international and national academic conferences, including the Academy of Management’s Annual Conference, Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology’s Annual Conference and Southern Management Association’s Annual Conference.
