Elon University is committed to providing its students with a seamless residential and academic experience. By requiring all first- and second-year students to reside on campus and have a meal plan, we are committing ourselves to the growth and development of our students both inside and outside of the classroom. In partnership with the university, Elon Dining has committed to providing a well-balanced meal plan that offers a variety of food options to students at each meal.
Elon Dining welcomes the opportunity to be able to work with each student on meeting their needs through our dining program. The communication between the students and our dining team is important to us and we take dietary needs seriously. Meeting directly with the student, touring the dining halls, creating relationships with our chefs/managers has been the best way for us to help our students. There are so many creative ways that they can work with each individual student’s needs. They are constantly looking to evolve so if you have additional suggestions on things you would like to see, please share ideas. The team would be happy to sit down with you to talk about what they could provide through the meal plan. Elon Dining is fully committed to helping our students and it all begins with an initial conversation.
The University, in unique circumstances, may make an exception for a student from the required meal plan for documented medical conditions. The meal plan appeal will only be considered for those who demonstrate that a university meal plan cannot in any way meet their dietary needs and provide appropriate supporting medical documentation. It is the responsibility of the student to obtain all required documentation. It should be noted that all documentation must be submitted according to the appeal timeline listed below to be considered for that semester. Incomplete appeals will NOT be considered and will be returned to you with a denied appeal.
The Spring 2024 meal plan appeal process has closed. The Fall 2024 process will open in July 2024.
