PERCS (Program for Ethnographic Research and Community Studies)

Project PERCS is a sustainable program supporting teams of students, faculty and community leaders in multi-year, interdisciplinary ethnographic projects. This research program will promote greater collaboration between the university and local communities, produce substantive research and enhance student learning. Our current project examines cultural, environmental and economic changes in the Appalachian town of Cowee in the Tennessee River Valley.
