The education methods class for math, science, language arts and social studies worked with students and teachers at South Graham Elementary School to construct an outdoor classroom for the school. Materials were donated by local businesses and groups. The classroom provides South Graham students with places for writers’ workshops, scientific observations and experiments. There is a weather station, composting area and butterfly garden. The children and Elon students planned the outdoor classroom together.
