The Center for Environmental Studies is directed by Professor Michael Strickland. The Center oversees the Environmental Center at Loy Farm, as well as the Community Garden, and hosts activities, clubs, classes, and seasonal festivals. The Center serves students across all disciplines at Elon and the greater community. Both the Farm and the Garden grow a variety of crops throughout the year, and the Center directs a number of environmental projects and research at both locations. The New Urban Studio explores sustainable architecture and responsible design projects. See the associated links for more information on the Garden, the Farm, and the Urban Studio.

The goals of the Center for Environmental studies are to promote community outreach and experiential education, champion sustainability and conservation, encourage research, and support student initiatives.

For internship opportunities with the Center for Environmental Studies, please contact the Student Professional Development Center and check the Elon Jobs Network.
