Physician Assistant Program in Charlotte Accreditation Information

*The Elon University Physician Assistant Program in Charlotte is not yet accredited (see accreditation statement below).
The Elon University Physician Assistant (PA) Program in Charlotte has applied for Accreditation-Provisional from the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA). The Elon University Physician Assistant (PA) Program in Charlotte anticipates matriculating its first class in January 2027.
Accreditation–Provisional is an accreditation status granted when the plans and resource allocation of a proposed program that has not yet enrolled students, if fully implemented as planned, appear to demonstrate the program’s ability to meet the ARC-PA Standards. A program holding Accreditation–Provisional status must demonstrate continued progress in complying with the ARC-PA Standards as it prepares for the graduation of its first cohort of students.
The program’s accreditation status will be determined at the ARC-PA meeting scheduled for October 2026. Application for accreditation is a voluntary process and does not guarantee that accreditation will be granted or maintained. Should the program not be granted accreditation, tuition deposits will be reimbursed in accordance with university policy.
